Pre-School Parent Reminders

Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
Please use the front entrance for drop off and pick up.  Parents wait with their children in this main hall until the teacher comes for her class.  We suggest that five minutes prior to your class time is sufficient for arrival.  Dismissal will be prompt so please be waiting for your child at the end of their class session.  Hooks are available for jackets, etc. because the teacher will not be dressing the students.  Parking is in the west parking lot area.  Please do not use the handicap stalls of the Camelot Van stall.

Fire and Tornado Drills
Drills will be practiced on a regular basis.  This may be unsettling to your child so please talk about his or her feelings and remind them that the drill is only practice.

Visitation
Parents are welcome to visit and become involved in your child's class.  We ask that no more than two adults visit at one time, no siblings are allowed on these visits.  One class visit during the school year is recommended.  You are invited to vist on one of your child's "leader days".  Feel free to exchange days with other parents if a conflict arises.  Please notify your child's teacher before your visit so we can have an activity ready for you to do with the children.  YES, we will put you to work!

Show and Tell
The three-year-old classes will have "Show & Tell" every class period until Christmas.  After January 1st only the leader will be bringing something in.
In the 4/5 -year-old program the leader will be the only child bringing "Show & Tell".  The leader for the day may bring ONE item to share with the class.

Snacks and Messages
A monthly snack list will be part of each month's newsletter.  Your child is the leader on the day he or she brings the nutritional snack.  A nutritional snack list is available to parents.  The center will provide napkins, plates, silverware and water.  Remember, this is a snack not a meal.  This is a time to practice good table manners, learn to pour from a small pitcher and enjoy quiet conversation with friends.  Non-nutritional snacks like cookies or bars may be provided on birthdays and special holidays, but please do not send cupcakes or cake as they are very messy and require too long of a clean up time (time we would rather spend with your children).  If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact your teacher either before of after class time.  If you have specific information concerning the day, please send a note with your child or talk with your child's teacher before they take the children to the classroom.  We would like your child to establish the habit of bringing their school bag every day.

This is your school.  Any suggestions are welcome.  You may put them in the tuition box and be assured that they will be addressed.

Thank You!
